The Biscoff Storm at Hungry Jack's is $7.25 and 2,610 kJ, the heaviest dessert on the Hungry Jack's menu. Soft serve with Biscoff spread and crushed Biscoff biscuit blended through it.
Biscoff carries more energy than the other Storm inclusions because it comes in twice: as a spread and as a biscuit. The spread is essentially crushed biscuit and oil, which is dense, and it adds fat as well as sugar in a way crumbled chocolate does not.
The spiced caramel note is what makes it distinct. Speculoos biscuits are cinnamon and caramelised sugar, and against plain vanilla soft serve those spices come forward in a way they do not in a shake or spread on toast.
At 2,610 kJ it is roughly 30% of an adult daily intake, comparable with a full Whopper at 2,437 kJ. It is a dessert to have instead of something rather than after it.
At $7.25 it sits with the Skittles version above the Oreo and Flake ones.
Who it suits: anyone who likes Biscoff, which is most people who have tried it. It is the most distinctive dessert on the menu and the one furthest from a standard ice cream.
