Christmas Day is the exception worth planning around. On Christmas Day the pattern is consistent year to year: standalone and drive-thru restaurants trade, usually on reduced hours, while restaurants inside shopping centre food courts close with the centre. A drive thru on a main road is the safer bet than the one in your local centre.
ANZAC Day catches people out for the wrong reason. ANZAC Day morning trading restrictions in most states apply to retail shops, not to restaurants and takeaway food, so Hungry Jack's restaurants trade normally. Stores inside a shopping centre follow the centre.

The one real change during the day is breakfast: the muffins, the brekky wraps and the Jack's Cafe coffee run from open until around 11:00 AM, and then the grill switches over.
Where the day does matter is availability. The late shift is where the network thins out: 190 restaurants have already closed by 10:00 PM, so a 9:00 PM dinner run is easy almost anywhere and a midnight one needs one of the 85 restaurants that trade past 11:00 PM.
