The Storm OREO at Hungry Jack's is $6.75 and 2,380 kJ. Soft serve with crushed Oreo blended through it, and it is the lightest of the four Storms on the menu.
A Storm is blended rather than layered, and that is the difference from a Sundae. Sauce over soft serve stays as sauce; biscuit blended through soft serve changes the whole texture of it. What you get is thicker and grainier and it eats more like a very cold biscuit dessert than like ice cream.
Oreo works better in this format than almost anything else, and the reason is the wafer rather than the cream. Chocolate wafer holds its texture against dairy for far longer than a plain biscuit does, so the last spoonful still has bite in it.
At 2,380 kJ it is roughly the same as a Chocolate Sundae at 2,227 kJ, so the choice between them is texture rather than nutrition.
