The Blue Lagoon is $6.40 and 1,017 kJ, from the Jack'd Up Sodas range. A blue raspberry soda built up with syrup over ice.
Blue raspberry is a flavour with no natural counterpart. It was invented to give a distinct colour to raspberry flavoured products in a market where red was already taken by cherry and strawberry, and the taste is a raspberry base with citrus notes layered on. It tastes like itself rather than like fruit.
At 1,017 kJ it carries 58.7g of sugar, which puts it among the sweeter drinks on the menu, above a Coke at 36.1g.
The Jack'd Up Sodas format is a soft drink base with syrup, served over ice in a larger cup than a standard fountain drink. At $6.40 it is a specialty drink rather than a thirst quencher.
