Vanilla Coke at Hungry Jack's is $4.80 and 829 kJ, which makes it the heaviest of the standard soft drinks and the sweetest thing in the fountain range at 48.6g of sugar.
The vanilla syrup adds about 217 kJ over a standard Coke at 612 kJ, for the same $4.80. That is roughly twelve teaspoons of sugar in one drink, which is around half of what most people get from a full meal.
Vanilla and cola is an old combination rather than a modern one. Vanilla was in the original cola formulations, and adding it back simply pushes forward something that was already there. That is why it tastes rounder rather than artificial: it is emphasising a note the drink already had.
Practically, the syrup also mutes the phosphoric acid sharpness that plain cola has. If you find regular Coke too sharp, this is the version that fixes it, at the cost of considerably more sugar.
Carbs are 48.6g, all of it sugar.
Who it suits: anyone who finds plain cola too sharp and does not mind the sugar. It is also the closest thing on the fountain menu to a dessert drink.
Compare against Dirty Cola at $7.25, which takes the same idea further with cream in it, or drop to Coke No Sugar at $4.80 and 5 kJ.
One Vanilla Coke is 10% of the 8,700 kJ average adult daily intake. Figures are per serve as published by Hungry Jack's.

Considerably. 48.6g of sugar against 36.1g, and the vanilla syrup also mutes the phosphoric acid sharpness that gives plain cola its edge.
Among the fountain drinks, this one. Across the whole menu the Shake inspired by Skittles at 92.7g of sugar is by far the highest.
